Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) Building 201 is designed to enable bold ideas and foster cross-disciplinary collaborations. The research laboratories are intertwined around an open commons at the center of the building that reflects a modern, integrated approach to creativity and diverse thinking.

By separating the intertwined elements, a four story void is created where scientists, engineers, and strategists can meet, think, dine, and move.
