Open position:

Architect Level II / III

Position Overview

RACER is seeking an Architect Level II with 6 to 12 years of professional experience to play a meaningful role in the design and delivery of complex architectural projects. This position is intended for an operator who takes initiative. The role requires strong design talent, advanced visualization skills, and a clear interest in carrying work forward into documentation and construction.

This position sits between early design leadership and technical execution and is well suited to someone who values both conceptual rigor and follow-through.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with firm leadership on concept development, pre design studies, and schematic design
- Develop clear and compelling visual communication including renderings, diagrams, and presentation graphics
- Translate design intent into well-coordinated design development and construction documentation
- Work in Revit and other design tools to advance projects through all phases
- Coordinate with consultants and contribute to integrated project solutions
- Participate in client meetings and internal design reviews

- Support construction administration including submittal review and design intent clarification
- Mentor junior staff through example and collaboration

Qualifications

- Professional degree in Architecture required.
- Six to twelve years of experience in a professional architecture studio
- Demonstrated design talent with a strong portfolio of built and unbuilt work
- Advanced visualization and graphic communication skills
- Proficiency in Revit and familiarity with tools such as Rhino, Grasshopper, and contemporary rendering platforms
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and constructability
- Experience carrying projects from early design through construction
- licensure preferred  or active pursuit of licensure.
- Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of quality and accountability
